Bidrage med feedbackReasonable prices. I only wish I knew more Spanish so I could communicate with my waitress. That was difficult. .
Stayed nearby on a Sunday night when many local restaurants were closed. This was recommended by B&B host as being good quality and cheap...expected to find small restaurant but in fact it is a large restaurant, open for breakfast till late, with white leather banquette seats and fixed ‘Formica’ tables giving it a 1950s feel. Around the walls are lots of photos of founders, the couple of Abuelos( grandparents). It was full of Mexicans, many families, with a separate playroom and had a ‘traditional’ menu. Huge portions...good soups, but I food the chicken Caesar salad too strong. Interesting to see a very different Mexico; there is no alcohol served. There was a manager who spoke English, but waiters/waitresses don’t and English menus had to be searched for. Had a breakfast there too, which was comparatively mean re 3 tiny pancakes! Also various breads, cakes, buns at entrance to buy as takeaway.
Although the hostesses could not speak English they were quick to find a waiter that could. There are only four English menus so we had to share in our group of six. The portions are huge! They provide Tostados and bread with dipping sauces before the main course which results in many leftovers because you are too full to finish your dish. The waiter even offered to take family photos for us!
We ate there several times on our visit. Food was always fresh and homemade tasting. Felt like it was family. Best fideo ever.
En una pasada frente a la casa de los abuelos paramos por algo de comida y finalmente quedamos cenando. Porciones grandes, abundantes y económicas.
