Bidrage med feedbackGreat little find on Mort St. Came here for a quiet Friday lunch and coffee. Service was very friendly and polite and hot drinks were delivered quickly to our table. Our food followed shortly after and I only wish there were more sweet potato fries!! The food was clean and tasty. Highly recommend for diners with food allergies and vegetarians.
Stopped in here for a quick cuppa recently. Ordered a Chai Latte and Golden Chai Latte, both of which were sensational. Service was prompt and friendly and the cafe itself is clean and modern. Look forward to another chai in the future. :)
Ordered two take away coffees when the cafe was 1/3 full. It appeared that most of the patrons had already been served their coffee. It took 20 minutes for them to make two soy coffees that are absolutely undrinkable? It tasted like rice milk.... and was burnt. If I'm waiting 20 minutes for two coffees I would hope it would be good... considering I only saw the barista produce two coffees before producing mine. Won't be coming back.
This place used to be great as paleo cafe. I loved the milkshakes and snack options. I've had a terrible experience with a really bad quality milkshake, the serve was really small and the staff were distracted. Unfortunately I will not be coming back and I will miss those good milkshakes.
I'll start by summarising that while this was one of the tastiest vegetarian meals that I had in Canberra it was not filling enough for the price of it and I don't intend on coming back. I think it's great that this cafe offers plenty of vegetarian and vegan options but I also feel that the dishes weren't thought through to be satisfying or filling for the vegan customers. For example, the "zucchini spaghetti with pesto" that my friend had had no protein in it and if I were to make it, I'd add something like pine nuts to make this dish more nutritious.I ordered the vegan veggies stack which was delicious and very flavourful but was not filling. For $17.50 I would have expected more food or at least something on the side. A piece of bread with hummus would have added protein to the dish and made it more satisfying. Sure, I could have ordered something else which would have made it even more expensive. $20+ for lunch made from vegetable seems ridiculous. I might have had the wrong expectations but when I go to a cafe for lunch I expect to be satisfied from one dish and not have to order an entree or multiple dishes. I'm not a huge eater but do expect cafes and restaurants to consider what is actually filling for their vegan and vegetarian customers when they offer dishes for them. The food was delicious and therefore the 4 stars review.
