Bidrage med feedbackThe NGA Cafe, outside the National Gallery of Australia has a lovely ambience mingled with nice food and drink and is a welcome relax-time after exploring through the Gallery, or as a rest-point during your time exploring the great exhibits in the Gallery. Highly recommend the coffee and hot chocolate.Wheelchair-friendly but can get cramped if there are many people sitting and eating there, restricting ease of movement of a wheelchair, especially between the seating area and the cafe itself.
Though very busy, enjoyed having coffee & cake with lovely outlook, after Versailles tour. Noisy, but to be expected with this popular exhibit & time (Sunday pm).
Stopped here after a few hours at NGA. Coffee was excellent as was the sandwich. Service quote slow and a little unfriendly, perhaps too busy to focus on good customer service so all forgiven for another time.
I reread my previous review and can say this place has improved a little in terms of the fare and service. It still feels like a cafeteria, but there's no where else to go unless you want to try the Portrait Gallery Cafe across the bridge which is much better. Sitting by the unwashed windows looking out on the sculpture garden is one consolation. We had a tea bag tea and hot chocolate in a glass. Shared a fresh white chocolate raspberry muffin. The muffin and hot choc were good. Not interested in spending $4 on a teabag tea.
We enjoyed afternoon tea here after visiting the gallery. The scones were delicious and the coffee was good too.
