Khukuri Cross - Canberra

My husband & I had the lunch menu which we both really enjoyed. I had a vegetable curry & a chicken curry & rice. My husband had the goat curry & beef vindaloo. We ate every mouthful with absolutely no hesitation to recommend this restaurant.

We opted for the non-vegetarian banquet priced at $29.90 each. The appetizers had a nice variety of flavors, but the main dishes were a bit lacking in taste. This could have been our mistake as we ordered a vegetarian curry to accompany our non-vegetarian banquet. I found one of the desserts to be decent, but was not a fan of the other option. The service left much to be desired. Despite being informed that the banquet was gluten-free, we later discovered that certain elements of it were not. My wife was offered ice cream as a substitute for her dessert, which turned out to be unappetizing. It tasted like spoiled cream. Perhaps ordering individual dishes would have provided a better dining experience. Interestingly, my son had a more pleasant experience during his visit. Overall, it seems that the restaurant has potential that we unfortunately did not fully appreciate.

The Mediterranean cuisine at this restaurant is exquisite and flavorful, all at a very affordable price.

I haven't tried the food yet, but I stopped by for coffee and dessert. The restaurant is super clean and the staff are well-organized.
