Shades on The Canal - Canal Winchester

Not a bad little place. VERY packed during happy hour. French onio soup is amazing. And the wings are pretty decent as well. Good beer selection too.

Stopped here for the first time with a friend this week .

Pros: Wonderful restaurant with a wide selection of great food. Pleasant and professional staff. Great location. It's a decent time when the food arrived at the table. Negative: The floors are uneven at several places, so I stumbled on the way from our table into the toilet room. The menus must be replaced, as they were scratched over all and the edges were very worn. We could feel the cold breeze from the table when the entrance/output door is open.

It is nothing imagination and it has that Hometown feels relaxed and comfortable. I live in Columbus OH, there is not a real closeness to me, but I was with the couple they have about five times. Every time I have an opportunity to be near a Shades, I think I'll eat there. Every single thing I've ever had is absolutely fantastic. Her macaroni and cheese her French onion soup EVERYTHING.

I always loved eating here as a little girl. As an adult, I wasn't there. I hope the delicious food and the great service is just as usual. Only a nice, easy-going diner, where customers can enjoy a beautiful, judgment free quiet space.
