Big misunderstanding – false hotel selected. we wanted to spend three days in South Tyrol and decided to stay due to the good reviews for the hotel alpenrast. Unfortunately, the hotel is far away from the valley at 1600 meters height) and is for me only for hikers of interest. outside, the hotel does not give a very well maintained impression of Scottish parking, of dried plants, of little attractive seating. since the hotel alpenrast also advertised as a wellness hotel, this was another reason for my booking. here we have already been informed that wellness is not possible due to a technical lack. there is no cozy seating area balcony 2 plastic chairs, in front of the room two small wooden chairs and in front of the house rustic wooden benches – wellness is different. overall it was cold on the rooms and throughout the house relatiw and therefore uncomfortable. the temperature in the room could not be changed by floor heating. other possibilities other than hiking are not available in the further circle. the local sand about 10 km away) also offers few possibilities. the rooms are clean and beautiful. it is also in order, with the portions not too large. it is always asked if it was sufficient, but at breakfast 3 sorts are lit daily and approx. 3 types cheese offered as buffet. but it is very narrow and it is always the one or the other article. it is an attempt to revise the missing article, but this does not succeed in time. Overall, it seemed to me that the whole planting is very accurately calculated and one strives to keep the offer “small” here. it is advertised with “All inclusive light”. drinks such as water, beer, cola and wein are free, we paid 3 € for the coffee on the afternoon. after the info that wellness is not going) my wife asked if she could still drink a coffee. before the question was answered with “yes”, we were informed that it must be calculated. of an announced “welcome stunk” we have not noticed anything. we did not claim the all-inclusive offer, and it should not be the impression that I am about 3 € for the coffee – that is the "finger tip feeling" of the hotel manager. we were all disappointed by our expectations of the hotel alpenrast and cannot recommend this.

We spent there 3 days, half board. Breakfast very good standard including home made buns and cakes. Dinner rich vegetable buffet and very good mealls of south Tyrolean style. House wine Alpenrast we taste red one, good, 18 eur bottle. But did not see wine list. Beer weizen or local special pils type.
