Bidrage med feedbackThe best fries! I am always torn between getting my fries at Nautilus or Lisson Grove, Nautilus wins every time!
Definitiw the best local fish and chips option. almost always very good. Sometimes a bit of a wobble, but never dives under decent. the cod is good and broken and well fried, and the chips are good chips. the only grip is that the fish is made in Matzo-Mahlschlag, instead of 'proper 'batter, so it is a bit different than usual. the personal is really friendly. beautiful broken sausages too.
Omg, soooooo good. Had the fried Plaice on the Bone, which had an amazing flavor and tenderness. I think my wife kept rolling her eyes as I moaned to each bite. Very nice portion, even for a glutinous man that I am. Saved as a favorite to hopefully come back again!
Great fish and chips. I often ask for extra crisp chips and they do it. The coleslaw is great, not too sweet and no onion. Good Greek salad too. I often have grilled fish it's all been good. Service is friendly and efficient.
Unpretentious, quaint, but charming is how I'd describe the experience of dining in Nautilus. The fish can't be faulted, it is as good as other reviews suggest, the chips are hand cut, and the Cypriot beer accompanying my meal was highly drinkable. What I'll remember most, however, was the sense of community the place gives off of the 11 customers, myself included, who were in the restaurant on the Friday evening I visited, 8 of them appeared to be obvious regulars who greeted the proprietress by her first name. It's always good to see that in a restaurant and perhaps one day I will also join their (non exclusive) club.
