Heavy's Sports Cafe - Camby

Yes, it's a bar. Yes, they allow smoking (I don't smoke . But what you'll find here is excellent service and some pretty good food. Hubby and I were looking for something different tonight. We hadn't been to Heavy's in years (since 2011 according to Swarm LOL . I knew they still allowed smoking, but we decided to brave it and venture in anyway. They were busy. We seated ourselves at a pub table complete with Jaegermeister drink recipes on it. Almost as soon as we sat down our server was there to take our food and drink orders. I ordered an amaretto sour. We then ordered the corn nuggets as our appetizer. She returned promptly with our drinks and took our food order. Amazingly (and this NEVER happens! , my husband and I both ordered the same thing! We each had the bacon-wrapped fillet. I chose the homemade chips as my side, and boy am I glad I did. They were really good. Nice and slightly crispy, and I dipped them in ranch dressing. The fillet was so tender and tasty. I finished my meal with blueberry pie. I don't know whether or not it was homemade (I kind of suspect that it was , but it was good. It had a nice, flaky crust and a delicious blueberry filling. I wouldn't hesitate to come back here. The smoking is an issue, but it was worth braving for the good food and excellent service.

Great place to relax and get a few beers in. Great food Great Atmosphere. Nice service. No bar sitting due to the Covid-19 tables are numbered servers are wearing masks. Alot of parking spaces.

This is my second time food was awesome last time. I'm sure it will be this time too. our waitress was amazing it was too loud the first time .so far this time noise level is good. it was way to hot both times need something done about the temperature. but the waitress turn a fan towards us all while we ate. bathroom was clean bar was clean price of the food was on point.

Let me address this right off the bat: this is a smoking bar. While it doesn’t bother me personally, it does feel a bit unusual in today’s world. I appreciate a good dive bar, but it’s been nearly a decade since I visited a place that permits smoking. Now that we’ve got that out of the way, I really enjoy this spot. It has a touch of rock and roll while still keeping a welcoming atmosphere. There are two bars—a large central one and a smaller side bar. The drinks are affordable, and the food is quite decent. On an early Friday night, the place is bustling with locals. There are four pool tables on one side, and it seems they have dancing later in the night, as there’s an elevated DJ booth in the corner.
