Eagle Restaurant - Cambridge

Met with 13 friends for breakfast Wed10 a.mwithout a reservation and the staff did a good job of accommodating us.

One of the best small town places for breakfast I have experienced. Don't drive through Preston without a stop here.

First of all, the address for the "Eagle Cafe" is actually the Eagle Restaurant and the photo for the Eagle Cafe in no way resembles the establishment at the address listed (photos attached)My companion and I enjoy going out for breakfast on the weekend and I have always been curious about this restaurant as the parking lot is always full so we decided to give it a try. On entering, it took everything in me not to turn around and bolt! The place is filthy yet it was packed, so I was curious and my companion reassured me that it couldn't be THAT bad so we had a seat.I couldn't believe the local health department would allow then to be open with the place being so dirty. It's a small mom and pop business with a young lady helping (granddaughter perhaps?). We placed our order for the "big breakfast" $7.95 for 3 eggs, bacon, sausage, home fries, toast and 2 pancakes. Great deal! (Too much food by the way!)The servers kept our coffee and tea topped up while waiting for our meal. The coffee was good.Our meals came out hot and fresh. Our table wasn't big enough to hold the 4 plates that our breakfasts were on. The pancakes were huge (also light and fluffy), everything was hot and the toast was made with bake shop bread, a nice surprise. All in all the meal was very tasty, not to mention plentiful. After we ate I went to the counter to pay the bill. I was totally disgusted by how dirty the cash register was! The buttons were gross and the register looked like it hadn't been touched by soap and water in years.Neither my companion or I became sick after eating there so I'm assuming AND hoping the kitchen is cleaner than the dining room or we just have cast iron stomachs!I honestly can't recommend the Eagle Restaurant, if you choose to go, you do so at your own risk!

Hidden over this hidden gem when a nearby restaurant was too busy to welcome us. the place looks like he needs some renovations, but don't be so stupid. eating is great, the service is fantastic and the value for the money is...unheard of these days. we're coming back!

Great fast service, good food. really enjoyed my breakfast, and the chef made adjustments for my nutrition requirements.
