I love Dig. Bring us one in North Carolina!! Such a delicious way to eat your vegetables and so many combinations to try. I ate here all 3 days of my business trip in Boston. Very friendly staff at this location.
The food is great! Service is very inconsistent. Sometimes you get full portions, sometimes you get tiny amounts, sometimes they forget a full dish, other times it's a sauce. Dig would be our go to place if they were just more consistent.
Honestly, the food here is pretty good. I had a farro bowl with chicken breast, street corn, and cauliflower which was tasty. I'm also a fan of their kale salad and mac n' cheese. I really didn't appreciate any of the people who worked there though. When I went in, I could see two employees behind the counter, and one of them was helping a customer. However, I just stood there waiting while the other employee loitered around doing nothing and then after several minutes the guy finally decided to take my order. As he was serving me, he barely made eye contact, looked like he didn't want to be there, and also gave me small portion sizes smaller than other locations. I was checking out with the other employee and was trying to use a coupon I had from their rewards app but he refused to let me use it. It clearly has a button that says you can use the coupon in store, but he said that they would only accept it if it were placed through an online order. He could have said this nicely, but was exceedingly rude and curt with me which really put me off. Obviously I had already gotten this far, so I just gave up on using the coupon and tried to get out of there as quickly as possible. This was just such a frustrating and negative experience if you come here, you can expect tasty food served with terrible attitudes.
The manager was preparing the food and we simply asked him to wear gloves. He replied with “I’m the manager do you want the food or not.” Of course we walked out after such a response. He chose to waste four bowls of food instead of wearing gloves, like all of the other employees were. As a business owner with 100 employees, the owners should be appalled at how this manager represented himself and was so quick to waste the meals instead of simply wearing gloves. I’ll ensure that my Harvard student shares this experience with her peers. July 1, 2022 745pm
