Bidrage med feedbackI went to Putnam Ave so insecure about differences, but man underestimated their food! I got the Tempeh Tantrum and although it seemed like basic components, it flew away. It was also on Ciabatta that filled it so I couldn't eat it all in a session. I have her drip coffee I didn't blow away, but it's so subjective anyway. I'm sure I'll come back here and try the espresso! Only small thing is that they do not seem to have vegan pastry options, so if you want you to go to another place! I swore here for lunch today and was not disappointed. They have a separate vegetarian menu of about 4-5 sandwiches, which is a non-triviar part of their menu. You know what is vegan and what is not and can easily sub. I had the tempeh tempest sans mayo essentially an ABLT and it was fantastic! Also many vegan dessert/pastry options, including donuts from Union Square Donuts!
Large coffee, non-daire milk options (including oat milk!) and a whole serving of vegetarian sandwiches. You can make many of them vegan, and at least one is already vegan. There are also breakfast sandwiches (including one with tempeh and avocado toast. Great for egg lovers and vegans alike!
Darwin?s is a fantastic coffee shop! It is really pleasant in there, the service is very friendly, and their coffee is really good. There is lots of sitting space, both on the ground floor and a bit upstairs also. Great atmosphere and sitting alone or with a small group. Can be hard to find a sit sometimes though.
The sandwich at this restaurant was disappointing. The picture was taken after only one bite, and the onions were clumped together in a messy, runny pile. The coffee was served so hot that it took 15 minutes before it was cool enough to drink. The wifi was also very slow. Overall, for $15, the food was less than satisfactory.
