Arjuna Wholefoods - Cambridge

So I’ve been going to Arjuna since I moved to Cambridge a few months ago. I can always rely on them for eco friendly house hold products, a large variety of vegan milk and fresh veggies, amongst other goodies. I even buy my toiletries from there. But I have tk point out the absolutely phenomenal egg and nut free chocolate cake they made for my sons birthday and their olive bread which I am ridiculously addicted to. I’m very picky about my bread. Very. Arjunas Olive Bread is a beautiful wholesome home made bakers crust outside and soft and scrumptious inside with just the right amount of olives in it for every bite to have a beautiful kick to it. Stays on your palate and perfect dipped in some olive oil or with my coconut oil chilli fried eggs. The olives are also not too overpowering. Literally everything Mv about this bread is jussssst right. It’s stunning. I highly recommend it!

Over rated rude people who look down their noses at customers high priced goods vegan friends shop elsewhere as it so expensive. Would not recommend

The shop provides a good range of foods and other wholesome goods that help you on the road to healthy living. Most of the food is organic and has limited additives including sugar and salt. On weekdays takeaway fare is available for lunch. There is a good range of bread, breakfast cereals, seeds, snack bars and yoghurts to be purchased. Many of the foods are available in packets filled by the Arjuna team from bulk supplies. Very much an Artisan shop with an eclectic mix of staff working as part of a co-operative. I try and avoid the often expensive imports from Germany and the Netherlands. Somehow it does not seem appropriate to purchase food that has been transported hundreds of carbon miles from Europe. Even Lidl now profess that they purchase food in the UK. They also have a reasonable selection of toothpastes, hair and beauty products. Worth a visit if you want healthier foods than available in mainstream supermarkets.

This is a great wholefood shop. Personally, I love its range of bread, its spices, and its cosmetics but there's a whole lot more from porridge (I like that too) to organic wine and beer.

Good selection for vegans vegetarians who are looking for a take away [call in advance of you do not wish to wait] Pedestrians only small road too much congestion!
