We use this restaurant regularly for takeaway curries. The menu is extensive and have never been disappointed. For a takeaway, I'm Cornwall, this restaurant is definitely worth using.
Recently visited the Former Spice Cottage in Commercial Street, Camborne for a Sunday evening buffet dinner. It is under new ownership and management with new branding in effect. Sunday buffet is good value for money a just under £12. The buffet on the night we visited included. Choice of starter (Onion bahji, Dahl bahji, Chicken tikka) mains Chicken tikka makani, Lamb rogan josh, Chicken Dupiaza Bombay aloo, rice Nann. All very nice, and replenished regularly. Soft and non-alcoholic drinks were available and BYO was an added bonus as it kept the cost down. As new customers we were left alone by the staff to enjoy our meal, although they did make conversation with what were obviously regular customers. If there was any negatives for the experience it would only be that the background music should have Indian and not regular chart music, and maybe change one choice of main to Madras, as the dishes were all of equal spice intensity. The evening was well worth the visit and we will be going again. Have rated the restaurant service, and food as average, but only because good is not available.
Had a lovely curry here, friendly service and really well priced . Going through s re branding at the moment as there are new owners . Would definitely recommend this place !
Consistently good, tasty food. Service can be a little slow if they are busy with take-aways but they are always accommodating where possible. Take your own booze which makes it a cheap night out!
