Bidrage med feedbackSo it was a February day of rain/sunshine/rain/sunshine etc where the temperatures followed the weather and we decided to walk down from Cabo Girao. We reckoned around 1500 steps, but obviously quite a quick walk. As the weather had temporarily closed in, we stopped for lunch. At the time we were the only ones in either the cafe or restaurant but we chose the restaurant area - it seemed more enclosed (warmer) and was nicely set-out. There were four of us and we chose one pizza, one grilled tuna, one scabbard fish, and one fish espetado (shrimp & squid). - and a dish of the local fries, these were washed down with a couple of beers for the men and a couple of large white wines for the ladies. All the meals were freshly prepared, very tasty, and really enjoyable. Then the weather cleared - to spectacular views - we sat there enthralled - even gaping at the snow on the near peaks - we didn't expect that!! (But then it seemed neither did the locals). Well after a couple of coffees and perhaps an hour looking at the views the total bill was 65E. We considered that great value for what we ate and the view! So then we walked back up all 1500 steps. If you wear a Fitbit, over 140 flights of stairs!..... (But actually it was quite easy).I have given the restaurant 4* primarily because it didn't have enough patrons, and therefore you could think it was more of a cafe (see some other reviews). It probably needs to differentiate better
The views are fantastic, the food Italian themed and beautiful! "mini" Pizzas at least 10 inches across and around 8 euros.Great value. Must be a great place to be on New Year's Eve!
This is more a cafe than a restaurant, offering a decent selection of drinks but just a standard selection of food.
I was invited to have dinner at Restaurante Teleférico by some friends and I can only say - "Such a good choice!" The food was really delicious and very well presented, service was very friendly and the views - "Wow, what a great location!"This is an Italian cuisine restaurant, but it serves Madeiran traditional dishes, too.
Had lunch here today!!! Very nice view & had Espetada, quite good with homemade fries & we also got a garlicmayo (we asked for it) that was very good! I could absolutely go back :)
