Ótimo restaurante depois de uma longa caminhada. Deliciosas refeições locais, bons preços, ótimo serviço.

Comida é boa. Experimente a sopa de tomate e cebola que é local e muito deliciosa. Também as batatas fritas caseiras são boas. Os preços estão na média. Dependendo do que você pedir, as porções podem não ser tão grandes (ou seja, espetada).

Bom lugar para almoçar depois de uma bela caminhada na montanha. Servir você. Não muito expresso, mas excelente carne grelhada

Food is great. The service lasted long and the restaurant wasn't even full. About 25 minutes after the order and served without appetizers we were told that 2 dishes were no longer available. We chose another, but we should have been told at the order and not at the moment when the order came into the kitchen. 15/20 minutes after receiving the starter. In total it took about 30 minutes to receive the starters (Bolo do Caco and Chourizo) and I was surprised when the Chourizo came to the table without being cooked the “experience” is to grill on the table. 30 minutes later we received our dishes. In general, everything was well cooked: T-bone Au point with roasted potatoes; Codfish was tasty, but a little dry and I'm almost 100% sure that it waited for about 10 minutes for the heating light (Note: we were told that it was grilled, but after all it was deep-fried that we accepted without notification of the team, as we have already taken too long and beyond it); traditional "Espetada" on the contrary of other restaurants in Madeira had only 4 pieces of meat. No single waiter could help us until Emídio arrived (later on), but I was the main waiter who was super nice and helpful. Not even the waiter who sold us the wine a more expensive wine that our first choice could help us. Everyone, beside Emídio, looked like they were avoiding our table when they knew the service was terrible. We chose Abrigo do Poiso for all reviews and the announcement of the cookery of the day on Facebook, but I regret this service. It is a shame that the food was good and the restaurant environment and design is great. I would be happy to have a better experience next time and again a special greeting to Emídio who was very professional.

Nice place in the mountains- love the smell of the fireplace. Atmosphere is fantastic and great choice. My food wasn't great, but I'm gonna do another shot and try something else. Recommend reservations as it was a Sunday afternoon and it was busy. Very good service.
