Astro - Calvià

Breakfast menu is cheap and cheerful, just what you want on holidays. Ok the menu isn’t massive but the quality of the food makes up for it. Big portion sizes. My friend ordered the ham, tomatoe and olive oil on bread and I ordered scrambled eggs on toast. As you can see from the pic it was quite big portions. Everything was hot. The coffee was delish! Just ordered a cafe con leche (coffee with milk).. I’m usually a cappucino/latte type of person but find this option safer when in Spain. All in all, would return in a heartbeat for breakfast!

My partner and I decided to try this place as it looked nice from outside and reviews looked good. HUGE MISTAKE! My partner got a burger that was disgusting and half cooked and bread soaking wet from water from lettuce and tomato. He couldn’t eat it and asked for the burger to be cooked more they took it back to the kitchen and returned a few mins later and burger was no different. It looked like it had been just thrown in microwave. I had jacket potato and chicken and there was oil dripping on plate it was only ok the waitress with long black hair in a pony threw the dinner on the table. She knew the food was not good but did not ask was the food ok just asked were we finished with plates! They didn’t care that the food was shocking! Very bad attitude abs customer service was zero! Avoid this place!

Have been to Astro many times over the last 6 years. Back after the pandemic we were very impressed. Still love the beer in ice cold glasses. This time we ate and the ribs were the best I have ever had and the stroganoff was excellent. Thoroughly recommend this place. The staff are so friendly

I had visited this place before numerous times before the pandemic. Absolutley loved the pizzas. The first thing to notice when visiting is the place has had a refurbishment. The bar has been ripped out and moved, the kitchen has been closed in and there now appears to be a lot more space. So much more light too. No pizza this time. As it was late morning we we decided to try breakfast. I hadn 't ever had breakfast here before but my friend had previously. The staff were very friendly and welcoming at first. We ordered a coffee and a cana. Both were served quickly and were well presented. We decided on the English Breakfast. The coffee was the very nice and hot enough. I wasn 't to sure what the beer was but it was really nice, maybe a local beer? I didn 't ask unfortunetely. The drinks were definetely the highlight of the visit. The breakfasts were average holiday breakfasts, edible but nothing special. The food was really oily and the beans were cold. The fried egg was black on the bottom which suggests it may have been cooked on a greasy plancher and not in a pan. Toast was more like warm bread. I would always allow the staff the opportunity to rectify the issues when they check back on the order, but unfortunetely there seemed to be no check back on this occasion. The staff seemed more interested in other things. It wasn 't busy enough to justify being ignored. After numerous failed attempts to get her attention we decided not to bother mentioning anything as their chance to put things right had now expired. We have to presume it was an 'off day '. I really hope they have maintained the pizza experience here as I will look forward to revisiting again for clarification. Also it would be nice to hopefully alter or remove this review. A little more effort from the staff would have been appretiated but the new decor is a great improvement. Until next time, The Ghost

We drank here almost every day and had breakfast and lunch on several occasions. Astro bar has been totally revamped since our last visit, it has been done very tastefully.
