Bidrage med feedbackMy boyfriend and I had an utterly horrible experience here. I'm not one to usually write reviews, but I feel a need to warn the world about this restaurant. While the food quality is not bad, it is mediocre at best and very over-priced. The portions were small. You can get chicken piccata at cheesecake factory for the same price, get three times as much food, and it will taste much better. On top of that, the service was the worst I've had. The server was rude, looked seriously unenthused about his job, and hardly ever came round to the table. Finally, when we got the check, we left a 10% tip due to horrible service and then left. 3 minutes later, we were being chased down the street by our server telling us we should have tipped more. Even if we had left zero tip, no server should ever come chasing a customer down the street. Do not ever go here. Save your money for the many other fantastic restaurants in DC.
I've been coming here for years, and in fact I even proposed to my (future) wife here...many years ago!! Typical little Italian restaurant in Georgetown? Great food and atmosphere. Their balcony seats are the best on a beautiful night. I recommend it highly to everyone I know, and everyone comes back happy!
Hands down, I love this restaurant and have been going there for YEARS! Their Linguine Vongole is the best anywhere? The sauce is just perfect. The Caesar salad dressing is also delicious, as is their tiramisu. My 3 year old grandson loves the fried calamari!! I recommend it to everyone.
Beautiful restaurant, but the food was mediocre. We asked the waiter for a review between two items and he said he wouldn't recommend either item. We would go 30-40 minutes without catching a service person, but we were in the middle of the restaurant. The meal wrapped up when they grabbed our plates mid bite... we didn't see them for another 30 minutes with the bill that they gave to me (female on a date)! Seriously, don't waste your time or money here.
We visited different restaurants in Washington DC: Italian, Indian, American style, etc. After walking around looking for a nice place to have dinner in Georgetown, we decided to try Piccolo. We ordered the food, but the service wasn 't good. We were not offered bread while we waited so we had to ask for it (other tables had it already) but it was not fresh at all, it was like a rock so we didn 't eat it. With the food we had another problem, it was just not good, and it tasted horribly, so we had to leave without finishing it. We paid and left and we finish our dinner in a bar eating a hamburger that was a lot better that the Italian food from Piccolo. I really DO NOT recommend this place if you are looking for good quality meals.
