Compass Rose In Wash - Calumet-Norvelt

I’ve been wanting to come here for a long time! Went on a Tuesday night ahead of a concert at the Black Cat. Made reservations but on week nights, might be able to get away with being a walk up. They made a good Shirley temple! Me and my friend shared the chicken skewers and the Cachapuri. The skewers were tender and went amazing with the couscous and peanut sauce. I’ve never had Cachapuri and it was a bit salty for my taste but still fun thing to try! I want to come back and try more stuff soon. And our waitress was super friendly and attentive. Great spot!

This place was SO CUTE! I was excited to try it, but the food was really disappointing. I think by trying to do food from around the world everything ends up meh service and atmosphere was great.

I only went for dessert but the tres leches was amazing and the place had a great vibe. Definitely a fun alternative to just getting ice cream.

I asked the waiter if we could share the tour of the world and get it for one person she said yes that’s absolutely fine because it’s a lot of food, we also got an extra entree thinking she was charging for one person for the tour of the world. We find out they charged us for two people and surprises us with a service charge fee which is 20% of the whole check! Finally gets us the final check with a pen to give another tip after taking 20% which is crazy. Really disappointed that this was not disclosed from the beginning (pretty shady)
