Bullfeathers - Calumet-Norvelt

My sister and I happened upon ;Bullfeathers ; in 1999 and liked the food, atmosphere, service, and prices so we went back a second time. In June 2003, we were back in D.C. and made sure we ate at ;Bullfeathers ;. We were not disappointed. The same high quality and good, affordable prices existed. We are coming back to our nation 's capitol in late September and we already have our D.C. ;haunt ; penciled in for a meal or two. The half price burgers on Mondays are a real bargain.

Great place for drinks. I do not recommend the food at all.

Straight up, Bullfeathers is the best place ever. The food is great, the drinks are great, and that bartender that works on Saturdays (he looks like Napoleon Dynamite) is really hot and really nice. If you want a good time, head down here. People are friendly, service is amazing, and you know you will have a good time. Go there before a National’s game; you won't want to go to the game but rather stay there and party in Club Feathers. Great dancing on Saturday nights and great chicken fingers. I love this place!!!!!!!

I was recently taken to Bullfeathers for a business dinner and expected the typical casual pub experience. Instead, our entire party left entirely pissed off. The service was lousy, from the 15 minutes it took to be greeted at the door, to the unwillingness of the wait staff--and manager--to address our concerns about the quality of food. All previous reservations and arrangements for tables to be ready with appetizers and wine were not only dismissed, but when the manager was addressed with the issue, he actually told me ;What the f am I supposed to do about it? ; The entire staff made us feel unwelcome, the food was sub-par to airliner stereotypes, and we felt that every effort was made to make our experience horrible.

The service was terrible. The food wasn't very good at all, but it was so cheap due to pre-game happy hour that it was hard to complain. Both the waiter and the bartender gave us terrible service and hardly even knew what was going on. Several of the dishes came out wrong and the restaurant itself was dismal. It was hot, stale and felt really dingy. No one was happy when they left and we would never go back.
