Big Bear Cafe - Calumet-Norvelt

Friendly staff, great coffee, I ordered a basic bagel with cream cheese and it was so yummy!! music was relaxing after I had a horrid first night in DC.

This is a lovely neighborhood cafe. I find it a great place to put down my cellphone for a while, meet with family or friends, or just do a little people-watching. I see a lot of joy here with people connecting with one another. They have great coffee and yummy food. I especially love their arrugala pizza! There is a lot of covered seating outdoors and there is also a room upstairs if you need some quiet or space for a larger gathering. Sometimes local musicians come and play. Big Bear Cafe has a great vibe!

Came during the cherry blossom market—it was so cute!! Such a great way to support local vendors and small businesses. The space is absolutely gorgeous. My matcha latte was delicious. Next time I come I’ll order some food ?

Great coffee; great atmosphere. Hole in the wall type of feel but such a hidden gem. Loved this place.

Awesome hidden gem in DC. Pastries are on point, coffee is hot and flowing, and the upstairs has great seating for chit chat or working on a laptop.
