Bakers Daughter - Calumet-Norvelt

Expensive, small portions, and not particularly good.

Bakers Daughter is an excellent establishment, and I look forward to patronizing them again soon!

After a nice autumn walk through the arboretum, we decided to check out Baker 's Daughter. We had the best service from the cashier. I would go back just to visit her. Her name escapes me *sad face*. They had a variety of espresso drinks and pressed juices as well as food items. Great step away from everything for a quick sip. My friend and I agreed that our food was ok, pressed juice was good and the espresso drinks weren 't our 'cup of coffee ' that we needed. We decided to grab coffee at another spot for the jolt we craved.

Stopped in today by the bequest of our fabulous Director, Dr. Dyce to retrieve breakfast for the company retreat and keep receipts and we'll be reimbursed for it. OmG my sandwich was delicious. It was clean, courtesy service and received food pretty quickly considering the line. I'm in this area at least twice a week and I promise I'll be back. I got the Chef's breakfast sandwich. Fire!!!

I'm given this place a 2.0 because the staff was pleasant. I've been eager to try this breakfast place because I always see the advertisements down by the courts. Today I went and I was press. Something told me not to get a drink (ordered it after I ordered the meal) it wasn't good and didn't have any pumpkin flavor. I ordered the pumpkin chai. I was really disappointed but was in a rush. I didn't have any time to check my food so when I got to work, (again so happy to be trying this place) sat down and opened the brown box it came In to see its original packing like WTH! When I opened it I was completely shocked because I'm like not for $10.00 bucks. So, I tried it my egg was fried extremely hard, it was a lot of spinach compared to the other food. I only ate some of it because it did have some ok seasoning on some of the food. I wanted to cry and call them at the same time like give me my dang money back. But we live and we learn. I wasn't expecting this. Maybe it was just what I had ordered but still. Idk. I'm still sad about it but it's inside of the Eaton's hotel.
