Esso Coffee - Caloocan

Went there as they were the only we could find that was open until 1-2am but little did we know that it will be our worst dine-in experience. The beverages (coffee and non-coffee) tasted awful and tasted like the milk used was already spoiled. I didn't even drink mine. I don't usually put a review like this but pls if you can go somewhere else, don't go here. The fries were soggy and the sizzling sisig we ordered tasted like it was only heated. They don't even make effort to make their food and drinks taste good. Also the staff who handled us was annoyingly taking and serving our orders as if they don't like customers dining in at that time. She also guessed our bill to 800+ but when we asked the receipt it was only 600+. If only I could rate this shop negative, I would.

The price is almost the same as high end cafes yet it fell really short from my expectation due to cleanliness part being a fail (water tumbler, soft chairs, toilet were dirty). There's no cakes, most of the menu items are unavailable, and we waited AGES before the food is served (they need to add another staff since there is only one server making all the food and drinks). Their laksa ramen looks more like instant noodles with egg (95 pesos). Would suggest going to nearby Tutongs for legit laksa, just a few blocks away. I enjoyed my cup of tall hot matcha (100), tastes decent. Al fresco area, great view of South Caloocan. Kuya waiter is nice. Their name is really a misnomer, better to call this a restobar as the other patrons are drinking beer and smoking cigartte. So if this place is aptly called as such (restobar), then I would have no problem rating this place higher. Overall, this is a nice hangout for barkada inuman and not for a hungry traveler looking for relaxing ambiance and quick and great tasting food. Oh this Barresso is the old address (city hall complex) as I think that building will be demolished, I have also dined there in their old store before. Now I'spresso coffee bar transferred to near floresco funeral. Above animal wonders vet. Not sure if 3rd floor 513 a mabini caloocan is the right address.

Good place to relax and release your stress in life. Very accommodating and delicous food and drinks.
