I ate there repeatedly with my English/French wife and decreed her as well. easily the best restaurant in cali in terms of price and quality. excellent food, non-pretentious and fair prices despite the posh situation. friendly staff, nice atmosphere. i ate in this restaurant several times with my English/French woman and she was always impressed. simply the best restaurant in cali, value for money.
It's a small restaurant has good service and good food , it's a French place It's family oriented , you find great thing to eat and spend a nice time
Short version: Food, not ok; price, decent*; service, good setting, nice and cozy. If you like the quality of the food, then the price is pretty ok. In the range COP for a plate. Even less for some. Had too little interaction...with personell to say anything about service, but the interaction we had was good. Detailed version: FOOD — When you go out to have pasta, you want it to be different and better than what you'd make at home, right? Me too! So what makes for a good pasta? At least five things: The pasta should be homemade and fresh; The pasta should be cooked perfectly, al dente; The parmigiano should be better than the one you get at the super; The sauce should be more interesting than the one you make at home; The ingredients should be fresh. Agreed? In fact, the secret to all Italian food is exactly that: FRESH INGREDIENTS. The pasta I had was from a box. It was overcooked and insipid. The sauce was ok, I guess. The champignons were from a can! That's three points in the negative. My partner had meat. It was soft and tender, yes, but boring both in texture and taste. It reminded me of the corrientazo meals you get at on-the-street lunch places for pesos. Better quality, yes, but equally boring. We didn't risk dessert. However, this being Colombia, a place where international concepts seldom work — they always seem to be complacent about lowering stadards (few Colombians have travelled extensively, so they just won't notice seems to me this is the doctrine) or colombianise the food —, I'm willing to be lenient: Instead of reducing with three stars, I'll take away two. An Italian would have taken three, no question. SERVICE — It was good. Or ok. I don't know. To be fair, we had little interaction, so there's not much to say. I was annoyed that the waiter said three times, What when I asked for a new napkin. Actually, he said the last time, I can't understand you (In the second person te If you don't get it, say, Please, Sir, I didn't hear you very well. Would you repeat and then lean in. Details, I know, but that's where the Devil likes to reside. PRICE — You pay for two: main courses, glasses of wine. EXPERIENCE — In sum, how was the Saturday night experience? Well, it's always nice to dress up and go for a night out with your partner. Since the company was excellent, the experience was good. But it had nothing to do with the restaurant. Pulcinella has a nice atmosphere. But that's it. Go for coffee and cake. Oh, they DID take late reservations. That's a nice thing!
Though the place was nice, the decor was interesting, the service was good, the food was a disappointment and much less than expected
Went here last week for my birthday and it is a realy little treasure. It is right in the heart of el Penon, but with very reasonable prices. The restaurant is gorgeous inside with quirky little decorations (swings instead of bar stools) and a beautiful...painted mural, very European. The menu is varied and we even had snails (a la francaise) for starter. The paste was plentiful and really very tasty. Prices were around for a main. Great prices for the quality and area. The service as incredible too.
