Sonic Drive-in - Calhoun

Showed up to get a Doordash and the store was closed EARLIER then they where supposed to close. I missed out on money, the customer didn't get there food and Sonic didn't make any money either. All because people where to lazy to stay open 15 mins till they closed at 10pm.

We ordered two identical chicken sandwich meals along with two Blasts. However, our order never showed up on the screen where we were supposed to pay. After waiting nearly 20 minutes, I pressed the button to place the order again and informed the person taking the order that we hadn’t received our order at Booth 4. He asked what we had ordered and assured us it would be ready shortly, and that the car hop would come to help us pay. By the time we finally got our food, it was only lukewarm. I can only surmise that our order was lost in the preparation area or that the car hop simply didn’t want to bring it out. Regardless of the reason, this was not a pleasant experience and not what I typically expect from this Sonic. They are capable of doing much better.

Lurie Robinson in the kitchen recognized my order as a regular customer and quickly identified what was missing. Dawn, the general manager, came out and asked if I wanted the missing item, and Lurie handled it promptly. Whether it's a mistake on my part or theirs, they always make it right, which is important to me. As a frequent visitor, I really appreciate the morning staff at Calhoun Sonic; they are fantastic. Well it's usually hit and miss with this one. Here is an example. Ordered a large fries and got half a box. Burgers are usually good though. I called and reported the mishap and they were courteous enough to offer a replacement. Thus is the case with most restaurants. Service: Take out Food: 4 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 5
