Shoney's - Calhoun

I took my granddaughter to eat Christmas dinner we got our booth at 4:45 pm, we had eat almost all of our first plate before we got our drinks, then after waiting 15 minutes on the fried chicken and shrimp to come out, they said they were out of shrimp and the chicken would be out in 3 minutes. Well 20 minutes later still no chicken, I got aggravated and finally left. I will not be back again.

The food was good and our server was prompt, friendly and on top of everything. It would have been a five star review, but the manager, whose name we found out was Rachel Hyde, was extraordinarily rude to us, speaking in a condescending tone and generally making a scene before we'd even had a chance to be seated. It's a shame to see talented staff held back by such incompetent management.

Our family of 6 stopped here for dinner on our way to FL. So glad we did! The food was delicious. And our server Madison was very attentive and pleasant! It was very refreshing after being on the road all day. Thank to the entire staff at Shoneys!

I haven't had Shoney's in forever (they closed the one in Augusta while I was living there). I was traveling to Knoxville, Tn to take my daughter to the zoo for her birthday when I seen a billboard and knew we had to stop and eat. I do remember it tasting better (it was not bad though) back in the day. We were seated quickly and the food came out on a timely manner. I wish they would bring this restaurant closer to Atlanta!

Fathers day buffet was not great but pretty good. The waitresses were the best part of the visit. Mine never let my drink run dry, nor my 2 children. The cost was more than expected, but manageable.
