The Berwick Public House - Calgary

I sat on the bar so I could watch the blue jay game. the bartender was quite uninterested in my paragliding. he went away when he gave the drinks options, so I didn't get a real understanding for my options. he didn't ask me if I was interested in any means of life or if I needed a paper menu in a complicated way. he came as arrogant. I decided that my time in the facility would be short... decided I wouldn't order anything else. even if this situation would be great for a neighbourhood pub / restaurant. I'm not coming back. first impressions last!

I visited on the 3rd of June, 2022. Atmosphere was what I was after, both private and social together. Music was at the perfect volume. Food was good, and my wait staff was exemplary.Will certainly visit again.

Tonight a girlfriend and I went to enjoy wing night! This poor girls hopping along with a broken foot! We got there and Zach was incredible! We were greeted and seated very quickly, he helped her get to her seat! We all had a few laughs and i was an absolute pleasure! Great CS! Thanks for checking in on us and making sure everything was good ?

Zack greeted us at the door on wing night. he gave us exceptional service as I was on crutches and could not stand and wait the time it was expected on such a busy night. Zach got us in right away (which might not have be fair but it showed how much compassion he had for his customers needs). Throughout the evening I noticed Zack giving ALL the customers the same treatment which was so endearing.

A great neighborhood pub with friendly friendly, attentive service. It is quite a large location so you will never feel cooped up.The menu is refreshingly simple, loaded with tons of comfort food. The Hong Kong Lettuce wraps are beautifully presented with the crisp Romaine Lettuce served standing up which makes it so much neater and easier to eat the toppings inside the lettuce wrap.The Potstickers were delicious with enough dip for them! So many other places don't give enough dip.The waitress was really on the ball with refills and taking our dirty dishes away. It made for a much more enjoyable time.PRO TIP- Even though the front door is located on the East side of the building you will find it easier to get parking on the West side. Sobey's customers take up a ton of parking on the East side.
