Sunshine Vietnamese Restaurant

After trying another place in Calgary recently, this is a place I will always return to for sure. They customize my food as desired, the satay soups are very very flavourful, spring rolls are consistent and service is never a problem. Just a basic place but their quality is excellent.

I visited this restaurant at 11:45 on a Thursday and it was 3/4 full. Service was excellent & my favorite servings was the Beef Stir Fry, Grilled Chicken & Spring Rolls.This was authentic Vietnamese food. Very fresh & tasty. Loved it.

Fresh food and good service. Note to not go too close to the closing time as you will feel rushed through your meal.

Sunshine VR is tucked away in a little strip mall in Lake Bonavista. With so many Vietnamese restaurants around the city, it's really important to find one that has great food. Sunshine VR is the place. It has a typical little dining room if you want to eat in, or else, has a quick 15-20 minute turn around for take out. Prices are good and portions big.

Typically we do take-out from this restaurant but the restaurant itself is also nice. It's a bit small, but it's rarely too crowded. I definitely wish that they were open a bit later, as there have been a few times we've been wanting a late dinner and they're already closed, or at least not taking new orders. But not everyone eats Vietnamese at 9pm, I suppose! And I can't really fault them for that.The food is some of the best Vietnamese in south Calgary. I've never had a dish that wasn't excellent.
