Roku Japanese Restaurant - Calgary

Called ahead and made a reservation for Omakase, Chef prepared an excellent selectionAll sushi, sashimi, etc was fresh and of the highest quality.

We decided on a late lunch at this popular Japanese restaurant in Royal oak after it was closed for a special function the last time we went.

Roku is delicious and WOWSo came here with a friend for dinner and the wait wasn't too badThe wait was about 15 mins but well worth it.

I have heard about Roku from friends and it was on my list to try during the "next" Calgary visit. The sushi and sashimi is the best i've had in Calgary to date. The salmon and yellow tail sashimi had nice thick cuts which gives a really nice texture and melts in your mouth. Another item to try us their take on the spicy tuna roll. It will not disappoint. I forgot to take the pics after the first dish arrived. Another sign of a great restaurant. I'll be back on my next visit.

Favorite Japanese restaurant ... great for lunch and dinner. Have a great variety of dishes. Sashimi is my favorite whereas my spouse love his tempura. Quality of food is great, friendly staff. Reasonable price. The lunch combo is excellent too.
