Ricky's All Day Grill - Calgary

Was told at another establishment that they could not seat me because I was by myself I happen to be a great date !! Came here and was greeted with a smile and no issues. My hostess, Alex, took care of everything that I needed, with a smile and quick come back to any of my hilariously funny comments I think I am funny!! Maybe not!! . Food was good as well .If I could give more stars to the service from Alex I would give 10 at least

The burger we had was good. The only takeaway is around service. It was good until the end. It was time to pay, and the person paying offered to get up and go to the counter to pay. The server said it'd ok. I will bring it. He said no. But the server brought it to the table, turned it down. The person was ready to pay when the server took up the bill and read it aloud for the entire table. We had maybe 5 tables. It was so embarrassing ? the least to say. The person was paying for their staff and didn't want that public. The server needs to be trained in emotional intelligence.

Honestly not a crazy fan of Ricky 's, the chicken strips I ordered a few weeks back just felt too soft, they were crispy on the outside but felt a bit soggy, nothing there gives me that Oh my God I gotta come back here factor, just an ok place with ok food, service is decent, though their wifi has been out for a while, another reason I 'm not crazy to go there more oftenParking: Never hard to find a parking spot as usually when I go with my family there 's no one parked at the restaurant

The older fella was a nice guy and good to talk to. The waitress didn't seem inviting, just working. The food was not great. Bacon was dry and , sausage was dry and over cooked, i also got a salad there was bad lettuce in my salad. Don't recommend breakfest here. Probably why it was so slow with no canada day specials.

We came here at the last minute as East Side Mario's had a 25 min wait to be seated, which at 8pm at night we just couldn't do (we had a 6 7 yr old with us had been exploring at Drumheller all day). I was pleasantly surpised by the diner given its extremely close proximity to ESM. the staff/waiter were superb, the complimentary activity sheet for the kids made a nice change as it was interactive (download a dice app on your mobile prior though), the food was decent portions and very good.
