Newcastle Pub - Calgary

Newcastle Pub is set up wonderfully with their interior and exterior design. It's a very welcoming restaurant with friendly and happy staff who provided me with awesome service. The food was spectacular, usually pub food is very simple and just okay, but Newcastle delivers creative recipe's with flavors and a bite that made me want more. I tried the Fat **** Burger and honestly it was one of the best burgers I've ever eaten. Great tasting patty, fresh vegetables and delicious sauces. I was very full after my meal. Appetizers were also great, highly recommend the Baked Pretzel.

Newcastle, above all else, is a great neighbourhood Pub! Its an easy choice between me and my friends (and even family) to head over for a drink! Love the proximity to my house! Always happy to support local! The interior is cozy and the pub feels so warm and welcoming, it always feels like youre going to walk in and find friends there. The staff is absolutely amazing, attentive and so nice! Its always a pleasure to be served by them, they take care of us so well every time! Management is just as great, they’re always so friendly and welcoming to all their patrons! They have great specials every day of the week, all very affordable and decently priced. Their food is delicious and their menu has lots of variety and is filled with pub classics! (my personal favourite is the Fish and Chips) it’s a great spot to grab a quick weekday lunch or dinner and drinks on the weekend when we want a relaxed night. Its also our go to for catching Flames games! Overall, love this pub, easily my favourite in the whole city. I always recommend it and take people there every chance I get. Definitely deserving of five stars!

Happen to be driving by and stopped in for lunch. I heard about this place but never had a chance to really stop and before. So glad I did because the food is amazing. And we're not talking about one dish here I've ordered quite a bit for me and my wifey. We had the pub pretzels that came with grainy mustard, I ordered the Reuben sandwich with a side of deep fried pickles and that came with creamy horseradish which was awesome. The wife ended up having fried chicken with a side of poutine. We had zero complaints but every item and the portions were so damn big that we ended up taking a few bites and packing the rest to go home. One thing that could have used a little bit more love might have been the slaw. It was a tad watery but that is such a null point compared to today's experience. On service it not only fast and attentive but made us feel better in general for coming down to have our lunch here. Laura the smiley server made some great recommendations. Great environment. Lots of seats, half of them were full of people from all walks of life. No brainer here, will be back a lot and again.

Awesome place. Great food great service. Been there 3x now and def be a place I will visit regularly. I recommend this place to close friends and fam. Great Rueben Sandwich mmmmm.

I ate the Oxford burger last night for dinner and it was such a big portion that I took half Togo for lunch the following day. The sautéed mushrooms and bbq sauce made this burger out of this world. I tried the soup of the day which was the chicken noodle soup and that was also delicious, very different from a regular chicken noodle go there and give it a try : . Thanks Newcastle for a great overall experience.
