Mad Rose Pub - Calgary

This upscale and modern sports pub is a great place to come to in a suit and enjoy wings in style, or to stop by after work and have a drink with your colleagues. I absolutely love this place. The food here is exceptional, with must-try items like their mac and cheese that is unbelievably good, and pizzas that are out of this world. The drinks are reasonably priced and the specials are fantastic. The staff is wonderful, with managers who seem to care more than at other establishments I have been to. Make sure to visit, it will be worth your while. I personally come back here on a weekly basis.

We stopped in for a quick dinner and drink on the patio tonight. Location is great, music was pumping and the seats were comfortable. Only minus being on 33rd Ave is the traffic noise. We had cider and a Moscow Mule - both refreshing. Dinner was dairy-free fish tacos for me and chicken blt sandwich on a gluten-free bun with gluten-free french fries! My husband was pleased with the options for his dietary restrictions. Our server did a great job double checking our requests and confirming with the kitchen. We were pleased.

Ugh. Has something changed? I've come here at least 20 times before and never had the weirdness of today. A server who questioned her tip (18%) - granted it was a weird paying scenario but still - very strange to be confronted about your 18% tip. I don't know - we're questioning where our new meeting place will be after today.

Has become one of our favourite late nite stops for snacks and night-caps-----Service was friendly , but distracted! How can you be served food and forget to supplyutensils and napkins. Service was also slow and not attentive.Seems it was the time for the servers to gather in the serving room for their own snacks!Nice ambience, great screen availability, and smart booths for the bar area.Lots of competition in this neighborhood MR----So We hope you regain yourpopularity!Still a repeat.

I don't know why there aren't more reviews for Mad Rose Pub yet seeing as it's been open for half a year or so. I also don't know why it doesn't seem as popular as the other pubs in Marda Loop because it is probably the best all-round pub. They have options for everyone! We've only been there in the evening though so can't comment on lunch or brunch. It's a pub so set your expectations accordingly, but it's a nice relaxed atmosphere, lots of screens if you want to watch a game, it's never too loud to have a conversation and the patio is very pleasant. The service is good and the food is quite tasty. And, probably the most notable thing about Mad Rose, is they have very tempting food and drink specials everyday.
