The place is beautiful and quite Italian inspired RestaurantPronounce as Kyan-Ti Their music reminds me of Pavarotti.

Caeser salad average no real flavour, needed anchoviestortellini in a very liquid consistant bland sauce with a few pieces of broccoli.

Il Chianti is the best Italian Restaurant in Calgary. The owners have been in this business for 33 years and it shows. Cozy, elegant, charming. This is a place where you come to spend time enjoying your meal. If you are just looking for a quick meal then you are missing the entire dining experience. The ambiance, the people, the old Italian charm and music are to be savoured as much as the food itself. We celebrated our 41st Anniversary there and were welcomed with warmth and genuine friendliness by Victoria and staff. We took our time and spent a very leisurely evening savouring the food and the experience of Italy. Our waiter was very adept at knowing when we were ready for the next course. The food served was always hot (or cold depending on your choice of foods) and prepared to perfection. At the end of our meal, Victoria served our coffee and sambuca, on the house, wishing us a Happy Anniversary. Our evening was wonderful. Intimate, cozy, relaxed and the best dining experience we have had in years. Come prepared to spend a bit of time. You do not want to rush as this is a place to come and enjoy. leave your ipads and cell phones behind. You will not want to be interrupted enjoying this experience. Reservations are a must. Pamela

We met friends at IC and were pleasantly met with great service, food and ambiance.Victoria was excellent at making sure we had everything we needed. I enjoyed the Penne Sausiccia, which was delicious. The pasta cooked perfectly and the spicy Italian sausage was fabulous.I would recommend to all my friends. Thanks!
