Cowtown Beef Shack - Calgary

Absolutely delicious beef sandwiches. It's not cheap, but so worth the price for the quality and flavor. Love the beef dip and the beef with cheddar it's a creamy white cheddar instead of your usual orange cheddar. Note that a lot of the sandwiches have raw onions, some have cooked onions, so ask for that if you prefer! The location itself is casual and clean great for a quick bite or takeout.

My husband and I ate here on our way through Calgary. The restaurant was clean with western themed decor. The staff were friendly and the service was quick. We got the cheese steak and the pulled pork sandwiches. The cheese on the cheese steak was creamy and delicious and the pulled pork was tender and buttery. The (optional) cilantro in the pulled pork really elevated it to another level! The large sandwiches are a great value; they don't skimp out on the meat!

Delicious food!!!! Staff is always friendly! I recommend this to everyone! The beef dip is my favourite; however, the pulled pork is amazing as well! <br/

Great sandwiches here. I always get the cheese steak sandwich. The meat has great flavour, the bread is fresh and I love the horseradish sauce.

Solid Hidden Gem that apparently has been around for 3 years at this location. The location itself has a slight Western Calgary theme which is very fitting and is very No Frills dine-in quick meal spot.<br/ <br/ The food however is awesome. A beef dip comes out steaming hot with an awesome side of coleslaw. Also stellar. Definitely coming back. <br/ <br/ Only drawback. A little pricey vs proportion. <br/ <br/
