Calavera Cantina - Calgary

Our appetizers were very good, but the tacos were so tender, so the dishes were torn, the aromen were not desirable and our desserts were raw on the inside. the server was very friendly, but I think more business than expected, so it took a very long time for everything. I can't say we'll come back, but the facility was nice and the staff was friendly

Eating was not all the big, incredibly bland tacos for “voted best in Calgary”! the waitress always told us that she needed a long time because she was super busy, but only half full. Maybe a manager should have received support if she would fight?

Churros were amazing. the calamari was well seasoned, the short Rib-Taco and el Pastor-Taco were our favorites.

It was quite loud and not really suitable for kids. Taco chips were super salty, the food was on the spicier side which was not suitable for the kids. The menu does not let you know that there’s a very Spicey component to most of the food. Salsa was terrible.

It was a quiet winter night at Calavera. My best friend and I met after many months, and had a lot of catching up to do. We enjoyed being able to sit in a comfy booth for almost 3 hours as we gabbed about our lives. It was my friend’s birthday recently so the night was a celebration. We both had the winter punch for our drinks and they were delicious! Following this, we each had 3 tacos for $15, and each taco was delicious. The fish taco was my favourite. Service was great, and the restaurant is beautiful. We will be coming here more often.
