Bidrage med feedbackAte here after a hitmen game with my nephew. It was pretty quiet on a Sunday night. found it expensive for choice. The food was a little dry - this is an incredible meat for brewed type curry dishes like butter chicken. It seemed quite authentic and packed a blow of heat (thanks! . Cleanliness. Service- so. From the beaten way-yup. I'm glad my nephew came out of a McDonald to try something new. Even if the heat was a little for its delicate palette and I had to top it with some McNuggets. But for $30 for two pop and two buffet plates I think I'd get table service in a more beautiful Indian/Pakistani connection.
I was there twice. The service was decent; they took time to refill the dishes. Sometimes you have to wait 15-20 minutes until your favorite dish is filled, but I don't think of waiting. Overall, the food was worth it.
I ordered the butter chicken with rice at this restaurant. There were a lot of menu options that didn't seem very appealing, but some dishes were really good. The dessert didn't impress me either. It was during Ramadan, so the restaurant was not very busy, which may have influenced the limited menu choices. The restaurant is located on the same street as the Mac's convenience store, not far from the Sandman Hotel.
This restaurant is frequented by shift workers. They advertise gluten-free options but don't address cross-contamination, so those with severe allergies should avoid it. The prices are low, but the restaurant is either packed or nearly empty 99% of the time.
We unexpectedly discovered a hidden gem of a Pakistani/Indian kebab house located next to the final free stop on the downtown train, just a few blocks from Shaw Millennium Park. The variety of chicken and lamb dishes offered in their buffet is impressive, with reasonable prices and welcoming owners. This area of town may seem deserted, but it is actually quite popular with locals (a group of nine Pakistani or Indian men arrived around 3:00 PM on a weekday). If you're in the mood for this type of cuisine, take a free train ride from the trendy downtown area near Olympic Plaza and visit this restaurant. Even my Peruvian senior citizen in-laws, who are hesitant to try new foods, thoroughly enjoyed their meals here. We all left feeling satisfied both gastronomically and financially.
