Bidrage med feedbackThis place is magic. i have eaten here dozens of times over many years. simple and tasteful setting, in a small village, large parking very close by. already up into the apppenine hills, don salvatore, his wife and their staff are dishing out typical local food hailing from the plains through parma and into the appenine. the menu is varied, and all is excellent. a favourite is the tagliata alla crema di tartuffo or cut stripes of prime beef with truffle cream sauce on a sizzling hot plate. heaven! if you are into local stuff, have a bottle of lambrusco with it all. and if you are not, the choice of good wines vino fermo is excellent. the outside spaces in summer are fantastic, and covered and heated in winter. sit down, and fall apart in sal 's yard :
My second visit in few months. Burrata is fabolous!! Fried porcini mushrooms haven’t impressed me at all, but ok. Second main seasonal dish with wild boar meat also was small but excellent! The two rounds of polenta with truffles were quite good. For the strawberries and ice cream I would have expected better. A bit confusional waiter staff service: three of them came to our table. Hight bill. Overall it’s a great restaurant!! Unfortunately the outdoor table’s chairs are very uncomfortables and they cause back’s pain.
There were 4 of us to have dinner at this restaurant, half of us being Italians. We had heard great reviews about this restaurant, but apparently we picked a bad date since the service was cold and low quality. I really wonder and place my doubt on the other reviews praising the friendly service perhaps they are written by friends, regulars...? Upon our arrival, we were not greeted by smiles (or that matter at any point, really , and almost immediately upon receiving the menus we were pressured to place our orders, even though I had not even had the time to open my menu. We asked to have a couple of minutes to think about our orders, which turned to be in the end 25 minutes. During this time, all the waiters did their best to look elsewhere, disregarding our attempts to waive for attention. Finally when we were presented the opportunity to order, a waiter (owner? came in to take orders, although once arriving to our table, he started to make a phone call. Once we managed to place our orders, the meals came in quickly: 4 different pastas and two Secondi Piattis. I had veal steak and in general all four were happy in the quality of the food, but disappointed in the rude service. Every occasion during this evening when we tried to waive for attention, the waiters just ran away, quickly turning heads elsewhere. When paying, be advised that you will be treated rudely in case you try to pay by card. Your card will be tossed in front of you like a used towel to the ground, and you will receive a gentle reminder of Well why can 't you just pay in cash?! , even after confirming that pay by card is acceptable and no we have no cash. After this childish behavior, paying by card did work just fine without issues, I guess the waiters are just advised to behave aggressively/rudely towards people who wish to pay by card. I work in customer interface and I really wonder why people would want to with customers since it is apparent that you really don 't like your customers. I cannot recommend this restaurant and I would give one star instead of 2, but since I would recommend the food, I feel that I am required to give the 2 stars.
Giudizi positivi confermati.
