Angeloni's Pizzeria - Caldwell

We visited the restaurant on 9/27/23 and were impressed with the amazing service - everyone was attentive but not overbearing. The bread and Margherita sauce were delicious, so much so that even someone who doesn't usually eat bread couldn't resist sopping it up. The Grilled Octopus was tender and perfectly grilled, not rubbery or tough. While the Chicken Giambotta was good, I ended up enjoying my husband's Pork Chop Special more, so we swapped dishes. The pork chop was delicious with a nice, thick slice. We decided to visit this location in Caldwell after hearing that they were opening their third location in Hackensack. Overall, it was a great experience.

The meal at Forte in Verona, NJ was excellent. We started with fried calamari, warm red sauce, and pasta fagioli soup. I preordered the chicken cacciatore on the bone, which was delicious and perfectly cooked with mushrooms, onions, and peppers in a not-too-sweet sauce. My husband enjoyed spaghetti with clam sauce topped with just the right amount of lemon and butter. Our friends had chicken parmigiana and veal scallopini, both done to perfection. The waiter provided great service, ensuring our needs were met. The portions were generous, offering enough food for the next day's dinner. We were too full for dessert but highly recommend visiting Forte for a great meal on Bloomfield Ave.

I have been a loyal customer of this restaurant for years, but recently I have been disappointed with the quality of the food. The dishes now seem poorly thought out and hastily prepared. The staff taking orders over the phone are rude and dismissive. Overall, the experience has become mediocre at best. To make matters worse, the prices have increased significantly. This place is in need of serious improvements.

I love Forte. it's my favorite place to eat in and order out . However, I think the delivery charge is a joke ! $3.00 fee for delivery abd it DOES NOT go to driver . Driver uses own car and gas. total rip to the delivery boy ! I tipped him $5.00 on my order but feel he should get the $8.00

Forte is a cute spot for Italian food. I usually get the parpadelle quatro, which is delicious and hits the spot every time. The person I went with got the pizza and thoroughly enjoyed it. Service was good, but I didn't love where they sat us which was right next to the counter where folks pick up their orders. The ambiance is typically for a pizzeria/ristorante.
