Kitties - Calderdale

We frequently dine at Kitties for special occasions, such as my friend's birthday this time. The food is impeccably cooked using high-quality ingredients and beautifully presented. Each visit, we are impressed by the consistently high standard of food and service, which is why we continue to love this restaurant in Hebden Bridge.

We felt like royalty at this restaurant! The food was freshly prepared, high quality, and beautifully presented with generous portions. The French-inspired cuisine was delicious, including tandoori salmon and smoked pheasant breast for starters, and halibut and venison escalopes for mains. The Normandy apple feuillette creme brulee dessert was also excellent. The service was polite, friendly, and well-timed. The house wines were good, but the extensive wine list was impressive for a small restaurant. The background music added to the ambiance, and the quirky décor added to the charm. Overall, this is a must-visit spot, especially for a special occasion.

The restaurant offers a selection of six starters, main courses, and desserts. All dishes are cooked and presented beautifully by the amiable owner. The duck, in particular, was exceptional and prepared exactly how I requested. The house wine was also great and reasonably priced. Although we have dined here before and always enjoyed the excellent food, we are surprised that more people do not frequent this establishment. The prices for such high-quality food are quite reasonable.

Just had an excellent dinner in this french inspired bistro, a small varied menu with great desserts, very highly recommended.

This has to be our favourite restaurant. The food is consistently great, the menu is always enticing, and the service warm and friendly. We have been going to Kitties since it opened in the late eighties and have never been disappointed. The prices are very reasonable, they are comparable with other places in Hebden Bridge but the food is so much more interesting, and you know the dishes are being prepared and cooked by a professional chef who trained at the dorchester. Kitties is great both for special occasion splurges and for just a meal out where you can try something new or enjoy the best steaks ever.
