Sons Tons & Sabores - Caldas da Rainha

Excelente place! Great food with a very open space. Free wifi! The food are just amazing... vegan food.

Very often we have lunch at this place, and always very pleased with staff - friendly, attentive and professional, and excellent ratio quality/price (menu of the day). Beautiful view in the middle of Caldas Rainha city, air-con and sometimes live music! Congrats to the management and staff.

When we entered at 12.30pm for lunch, there was only one table in use.By the time we left at 1.30pm there were many people eating. The restaurant is inside the Cultural Cente, and was recommended by the man at the Tourist Office. The menu was 5 courses; the main course limited to three dishes; fish, chicken or pork. We chose the fish - and it was excellent. More than that, the 5 courses only came to 8.50 Euros. It was excellent value for money - and the food was well-cooked.

This restaurant is part of the Caldas' theater and has a very nice, somewhat minimalist environment. The food is good, although the menu is a bit limited. I like it and recommend.

I was positively surprised when lunching in “Sons Tons & Sabores.On the top floor (strangely called Piso 0) of the CCC or Center Cultural Caldas da Rainha you can have a quiet lunch for 8.5 € all included. And this price is “all in”!It is not a à la carte menu but because they give a choice between 2 starters (soup or a salad), 2 main courses (fish or meat) and 2 deserts you can still taylor your meal to your likings. In this price is also included a drink ( a beer or glass of good wine or water...) and a coffee. The coffee comes with a mint chocolate!And while you wait for your order you even get bread with a one petisco.The portions are not very big but sufficient for a “ normal” sized hunger.The location is quiet and spacious. The tables have a table cloth, the service is professional and friendly. What more can you wish? Well the food is excellent too! The vegetables for instance are steamed so they keep all their “sabor”. The restaurant is also open in the evening but then they serve à la carte. Looking at the menu card the prices are reasonable, you will end up in the 20 € region. We didn’t try the dinner yet but will certainly do one day. If you are by car you can put it in the public garage of the cultural center and take the elevator directly to floor 0. (top floor).
