Gasthof Weisses Rossl

The restaurant is in an enviable position, overlooking the Marktplatz, the central square of Caldaro Kaltern, lined by historic buildings. The doubt that it will take advantage of this position to lower the offer's quality and or raise prices, soon disappears when you taste the food. We took advantage of the day dish, the mixed grill: it was not abundant, but really tasty, accompanied by grilled vegetables. Some of us have also ordered the canederli knodel (Tyrolean dumpling) and I consider them the best I've ever tasted. Even strudel and chestnut cake were appreciable. The total cost was fair for what we ordered: about 93 euro for four people, including a liter and a half of water and half a liter of the house wine. I definitely recommend this restaurant.

Good variety menu, we ate there twice and were very pleasantly surprised. Good home made food, friendly service. Location central.

On a Sunday night, many restaurants are closed. We ended up here, the staff were very nice while we were waiting. The food was nothing to write home about, rather salty. The wine was nice, the staff were quite competent which is useful on the Weinstrasse.

Mega delicious breakfast and very friendly staff. we are coming back!
