The Mill Restaurant Bar - Calcutta

3 stars for mixed reaction. First of all a restaurant serving alcohol should have it's own washroom, so a big drawback for the place. Secondly, the behavior of some staffs was kind of rude, although they were very honest I must say. How ever, we don't expect their attitude kinda behavior when we visit as a customer. Please ask them to maintain polite behaviors with the customer. Only 2 people attended our table, out of which one was having an extreme attitude as if he was serving us free food. Overall Good

Worst experience, staffs are unprofessional and rude. They took almost 30 mins to serve starter when only three tables were engaged. When I complaint about delay in service, staff started illogical argument with me. He said I have placed order just 5 mins back. I told him it's almost 20 mins but he denied and told me it will take another 10 mins. I told him that I am in hurry.....he said ...ok you may cancel order. No words to say for this unprofessional behaviour. Should not visit this place ever. Yes you can visit if you can wait for 1 hr for your starter.

Disappointment would be an understatement. The staffs were very rude and sarcastic. On our order of one pitcher of LIIT, all they served was barely 2 whiskey glasses and rest was just ice. The cocktail was so diluted that all we could taste was the coke. I wouldn 't be here writing this comment if at least the behavior of the staffs wouldn 't have been so disrespectful and unprofessional.

Very much disappointed with the behaviour of one lady staff and another staff. Ordered a pitcher of LIIT that must have served four glasses. On pouring the cocktail into two glasses, there was just half glass of the drink remaining. The pitcher was filled till it’s neck (mind it, not the entire pitcher) with ice cubes that caused the drink to lessen in quantity. So much ice, literally so much ice that’d be used in 9-10 glasses of LIIT. When I asked the lady staff to correct the quantity, she lacked compassion hospitality and was rude. A male staff then walked in and he sarcastically remarked “I have not seen anyone drinking LIIT like the way you’re drinking” just because I didn’t take ice cubes as I don’t like it with any drink (personal choices, which are very subjective). I have never seen such an LIIT pitcher, be it a restaurant in a five star/seven star hotel or even any other casual restaurant just like ‘The Mill’. This is what ‘The Mill’ restaurant showcases as a definition of hospitality. Lastly, the LIIT tasted horrible because of dilution with excessive ice and it was served in a whiskey glass, which itself shows the level of unprofessionalism. What a waste of Rs. 1500.
