Millepini - Calatafimi-segesta

This is a gracious old hotel, now a bit informal, but in a great location and serving great food. I had the pasta special (picture below) followed by sausages and a tomato salad, bottled water, a glass of wine, and coffee, all for 23 Euros. There was one server, dashing around with his shirttail hanging out, but everyone seemed pretty happy certainly I was. Since I was riding a motorbike I initially declined wine, but as the meal went on I weakened and ordered just one glass (a popular phrase in public service advertising in Italy). I was served the single largest glass of wine I have ever received, and it was delicious (and I got home safely). The town is full of twisty streets, but the way to the hotel is signposted just try to keep track of the path so you can approximate it on the way back.

Attentive server, well paced meals, each course a presentation of fresh top quality ingredients and flavors. Relaxed and hospitable bar/lounge at one end with tv. Pleasant stroll along hillside walkway before or after.

The best restaurant to Eat in Caltafimi-Segesta. It's slightly off the beaten path but any local canm tell you where it is. The cuisine is authentic. Avoid going too late at night. The place is busy between 9-11.
