Riverview Lounge - Calais

We had the Fish Chips and Fish Burger. They were excellent; large fillets of haddock that filled the plate (not triangular or square cuts of fish). Choice of fries or salad. Homemade coleslaw and tartar sauce. Lovely ambience with gas and electric fireplace stoves. Quiet background music that made conversation easy. The selection of menu items going to nearby tables looked delicious too. Staff were very attentive. No long waits. Highly recommend. We will be back.

Got takeout fish sandwich, great batter, nice portion, perfectly cooked.

Good food. I had a nice Fillet. It was nice not having to settle with a hamburger. Very nice local folks. You can tell the locals hang out here. And everyone was very welcoming. I ended up just hanging out with some salt if the earth Maine'ers! Loved it. I'll be back next fall same time.

Very nice atmosphere. I had the fish and chips and it was very good. And washed it down with the locally brewed beer. Two thumbs up. I will be a repeat customer.
