A.MUST.GO! Just going and talking to the owner alone is worth the trip to Calabash. The biscuit bottoms meals are delicious! The omelets are amazing! AND THEN THERE'S THE MIMOSAS! We had the spiked coffees, but next time, we have a mimosa.
It's a small restaurant with a very good air conditioner. Bring a light jacket or sweater. I promise you'll need it. The food was good and you get a good amount. This was our 3rd or 4th trip over the last several years and we noticed it's starting to look a little run down. Come hungry leave full. Prices are reasonable (2 ppl breakfast, coffee and OJ $40) and the staff is very friendly. The worst part of the experience is trying to leave the parking lot. This isn't their fault, just the tiny town of Calabash has 1 main road. At 1pm on a Wednesday we couldn't make a left out of toasteds lot. Had to make a right then left into a parking lot and then head the other wayParking: You park where you can find a spot. On the grass or outback in there parking lot
Great local restaurant. Locally owned and operated. Friendly, helpful and attentive staff. Spicy honey mustard is awesome. Everything we had was great.
Oh my goodness! THAT is one of the best meals in the area! Consider me a regular! The food and service was so outstanding in this place. Even though they had a Labor Day weekend Monday busy day, the owner still found time to come out and sit with us for a moment and tell us about the specials and how he came up with them. And Grace was our waitress and she was just perfect. She knows a lot about that restaurant and the food. We saw several other staff members and they all had smiles. This impressed me because I know darn well they were super busy today! If you're visiting or especially a local, you must consider coming to Calabash for breakfast, lunch or dinner at Toasted! Locals, you are going to love this place. Just vary the times you come in because I'm sure it's very busy sometimes.
