Bidrage med feedbackNext to the ocean, fresh air and chilled drink were a great night for New Year night! A bit pricey but it was great location and service.
Great bar. Perfect spot to have a drink and watch the world go by.
Massive thumbs up for this place. Bit pricey but worth it
Afternoon drinks at Drifts is a good idea. Looking out on to the inlet and watching the strollers and joggers go past gives a real feeling that one is more relaxed and life is at a slower pace. Be careful with the menu as not all may appear as a recent experience found when ordering the restaurant was out of the meals desired for the evening. Cairns being slower placed Drifts closed earlier and we were left sitting in the dark. past experiences at Drifts were satisfactory, this last visit was not so good. Breakfast was average. Coffee during the day average as well.
It is not a good sign, when you go for breakfast at $25.00 per head, to find the mugs are badly stained, not one, but a dozen or so, coupled with the fact, that despite informing the service staff that the both urns had run out of hot water, the cereals dispenser area was littered with cereals , the scrambled eggs were rubbery, waffles were hard- the staff ignored my concerns and continued talking amongst themselves. Not having learned my lesson, decided to have dinner there again, 3 local guests. Guest ordered medium rare steaks, came out well done.. Avoid the Sticky Pork belly salad. Not only is was NOT sticky, it was deep fried and hard... salad was limp. Management really needs to overhaul the staff and those responsible for the in- efficient service, and poor quality food . For the price we paid, I expected better quality and service - Breakfast was on 29th October and dinner was on 1st Nov. At least, we were refunded for the breakfast!!
