Coral Garden Restaurant - Cairns

Breakfast is served in a lovely setting near the pool but that it where the enjoyment ends. The breakfast is extremely cheap and the chef is very pleasant but the food was just terrible. I think it was only $8 plus coffee but at that it was overpriced.

We decided to go there for dinner. We got to whst we thought was the right place but they sent us elsewhere. It turned out we were right first time but they did not know that they had previously been known by another name,. What a waste of time.

Fairly large choice on the buffet but for the price paid should have just eaten off the a la carte menu. Make sure you book and tell them you are local or pay through the nose!!!!

Chef made a tasty oysters kilpatrick, before serving an entree size garlic prawns in white wine sauce on a bed of jasmine rice. Which was a good size serving for the price. Would definitely recommend to try this restaurant.

We were accommodated elsewhere but advised to use this restaurant which apparently belonged to the same property owner. What a difference! Although the premises are dated, they were clean and tidy and breakfasts offered were brilliant. The chef was a jolly man where nothing was a bother, and prices very competitive. His service could not be faulted. We had one evening meal there too, taking a friend along, and were most impressed by the array of seafood served. Finding the Coral Garden improved our overall impression of Cairns' accommodation and service to a great extent.
