We went to Red Service with the 'idea of having good pizza or good meat. Bad idea. I asked what the workhorse of the house was, and the waiter suggested maybe ironically, the horse meat shred pizza. OK then. The place was full, because it was Saturday. Or maybe because they were broadcasting the Italy soccer game. I 'm not sure why. To be quicker and not overburden the kitchen, we ordered three simple pizzas and three beers so as not to cause further confusion. They brought us two beers after 30 minutes and the pizzas after more than 90 minutes, also the football game had been over for a while. I think that is a record in the negative. So many people complained. Later I found out that for 100 seats there were three people running the restaurant. A cook, a waiter, and a handyman cashier. The meat on the pizza was as hard as the harsh as the reaction of the cook, perhaps the owner, who at our remonstrances behaved in an unhinged and aggressive manner, almost throwing us out of the restaurant. No apology, just an avalanche of verbal attacks and according to him, the nervous one was me . So very mediocre local, absolutely to avoid. Why go there if Cagliari is full of excellent restaurants and courteous staff. I recommend staying away from this pizzeria.

There sometimes comes a time when you’re on holiday when you just want something to eat, not a fancy dinner out. This is just the place. It’s not at all posh, it has pictures of the food on the wall (usually suspicious but not here), a limited menu, plastic table covers, plastic cups and is next to quite a busy road. But the waitress is friendly, even if she doesn’t speak any English, the food is simple but tastes lovely, the rolls in the bread basket are made from fresh pizza dough, the calzone was absolutely stuffed with ham and mushrooms, the steak was tender and the portion sizes were huge. What more can you ask for 29 euros? I can categorically say we were the only tourists in the place, lots of locals seemed to be known by name and popped in and out. And it’s over the road from the best geletaria in town. What’s not to like?

The best pizza in the Cagliari. Very nice and friendly staff. Fast service and free wifi. I recommend this restaurant for everyone.

Il ristorante è bellissimo e la carne è divina, soprattutto l'hamburger molto delicato. Le persone sono gentilissime e molto disponibili.
