Bidrage med feedbackWe had dinner here on Easter Friday after walking along Poetto Beach struggling to find somewhere to eat. We ate here on our first night in the city, arriving a few hours earlier. At the time, we did think the food was good considering this was our first night, but I have marked this down on the review ratings because we tried other restaurants in Cagliari. We ordered fish and chips and beef steak and chips the meat was nice and the chips were ok. Also served on the plate was Pane carasau (Sardinian thin flat bread) which did taste unusual but having not tried this before, we thought maybe it was meant to taste like that. It was only until we started dining at other restaurants, we realised that Il Miraggio had served us stale flat bread which was disappointing, considering that this was our first night in the city. There wasn't anyone else dining when we arrived, there were a few other couples who had ordered drinks but they left shortly before 9pm, so it was just us and a band who were practising. The waitresses were friendly and did provide good service. If we were to visit again, we wouldn't go back here as we now know that there are better places to eat at.
Good afternoon, welcome to our bar, how can we help you, would you like a table... Nahhh! Too mainstream! I barely said Hi and I 've got in return by the supervisor You can not go in if you don 't wanna have lunch.... I give you one minute to say hi to your friends.... . Maybe I wanted to have lunch but your behaviour made me change my mind? Have you thought of that? By the way our friends were having lunch inside, but sadly we just had to postpone our reunion, because you know, there are plenty of nice restaurants and bars by the beach at Poetto. Why shall I stop by a place where I don 't even feel welcome in the first place? Pointless!
Nice View and good coffee! Great view and fast service. Especially the terrace is very nice to enjoy the sun!
We had a great lunch here today, we arrived at 1.00 pm and were greeted by the owner, without a reservation we were able to get a table on the terrace with a beach view. We shared the superb Calamari main as a starter. My wife had a lovely prawn salad while I enjoyed a fantastic seafood ravioli. One of our favourite lunchtime meals which was great value too.
Half the items on the menu were unavailable...but we saw those same items being delivered to other tables when we were getting ready to leave. The food was awful tasteless, crunchy tomatoes in the caprese, tasteless cheese and mediocre pasta. Service also terrible bread brought to the table AFTER we finished eating. WORST dining experience in Italy thus far.
