Bidrage med feedbackIn one word: fantastic! The location and James Turell's light demonstration and our fantasies. So intresting! We had a very enthousiastic guide. And then the wines and the food in the middle of this super beautiful location. I'll come back defenitively with... man and other friends
It's a long, bumpy, winding dirt road to come here, but oh, it was worth it! We had the outdoor terrace to ourselves to enjoy a cozy lunch of bodega wines through the glass, and the daily special steak with grilled vegetables and salad green. Service was friendly and prompt. You need to make reservations, but treat yourself to this (definitely off the beaten track) gem.
Access to the property, especially after the rain, is a challenge. However, we went to Colome for James Turrell Museum (as amazing as Naoshima). So winery came as a beautiful surprise. The tour of the vineyards was amazing, some of the grapes are 200 years old. The whole property is “altura” at 2,600 to 3,000 meters. It was interesting to see how wine is made. And of course you cannot miss wine tasting. As a rule, Salta has recently become a serious alternative to Mendoza with only 7% of national wine production. Don't miss it!
We were really impressed by our day in Bodega Colome. The environment is exquisite and everything was very well organized. Lunch service was very good, like the food. Of course the wine is excellent! The tasting was interesting and informative and the James Turrell...museum is stunning. I have already recommended this experience for friends who want to visit the area soon. It's a must, in my opinion.
