Hungry Herbie's Drive In - Cache Creek

First, the staff are very lethargic and inattentive. The burger was so greasy it was nearly inedible. The fries were under cooked. The over priced (5.50) salad had absolutely zero fresh ingredients. The drinks were served in stirafoam cups and no were neat worth the amount they charge.

I love independent stand alone restaurants, but the burger at herbies could use a makeover. As a previous reviewer noted, it was like the box of burgers you buy at Walmart. For 8.50 I got the herbie burger and it was middle of the road/poor ingredients, but prepared very well. Staff were friendly and helpful and the food came out in under two minutes while it was busy on a Saturday at noon which was extremely fast. Location was clean and parking was easy. While I would opt for supporting a local company, the burger was only on par with the big American fast food joints. As it was my first visit, any future visits would require trying other menu items. Still worth giving a shot if in the area.

Definitely not the best burger I've ever had, but not the worst either.I chose the Runion, has loads of onions on it with a tangy sauce. The sauce was tasty.The burger itself was a flimsy cheap patty from Walmart on a soggy bun. You'd expect a burger joint like this to make their own patties.My son had a hot dog and fries. He wouldn't eat the hot dog because he said it tasted funny. He loves hotdogs so hard to screw one up in my opinion.A place to stop if you need a quick bite to eat

Stopped in for dinner on a road trip - greeted warmly by really friendly staff which was a great start. I was quickly advised that the fried chicken would take 10 minutes, and all that did was confirm for me that it would be fresh! It was crunchy and moist, just delicious. My husbands burger was great and the fries were crispy ... what more could you ask for?

Good burgers, good service, ideal location on hwy 97 to have a quick, fast fill up, and get back on the road to your destination. Outdoor picnic table seating for the nice weather, as well as the interior seating.
